Dickens Theatre Company presents A Christmas Carol at Levy in Shropshire. One actor plays Ebenezer Scrooge, and over 30 other characters, whilst the rest of the cast is stuck on a train. This is the company's 11th year performing this unique theatrical adaptation of the classic tale. Audiences watch as Charles Dickens himself, with his tour manager George Dolby, transforms between characters throughout the festive story. The production delivers both comedy and pathos in equal measure. The show is directed by Ryan Philpott, with music by Paul Higgs. School group rates are available with a "buy ten, get one free" offer. Performances run from November. This production suits ages eight and upwards, and appeals equally to GCSE students studying the text and general lovers of Christmas theatre.
