Severn Valley Railway, Bridgnorth Station, WV16 4AXThe Elf Express is an immersive Christmas train journey departing from Bridgnorth Station in Shropshire. You'll travel aboard beautifully restored vintage carriages hauled by steam locomotive through the Severn Valley, meeting Father Christmas and his team of elves along the way. Families settle into private compartments whilst live characters from Wise Owl Theatre Company unfold a festive story throughout your 75-minute round trip to Highley. Children receive a special gift, adults get a wooden tree decoration, and everyone enjoys a gingerbread biscuit. The experience runs from late November through Christmas Eve on selected dates with four departures daily. Each child receives a complimentary Freedom of the Line ticket for a future 2026 visit. Arrive 45 minutes early at Bridgnorth Station. Leave buggies at home if possible, and note that assistance dogs are welcome but regular pets are not.
